In Cape Girardeau just north of the downtown district, look for the brown MDC sign at 2nd and Main, and follow 2nd Street east one block to Water Street, where the access begins.


This is a Mississippi River fishing/boat ramp.

  • The boat ramp closes when the river reads 33' on the Cape Girardeau gauge. The boat ramp is not usable when the Missisippi River is at or below 8' on the Cape Girardeau gauge.

Parking Lotaccessible  Parking lot is concrete with stripes. Lot contains a total of 38 parking spaces. The north half of the lot has 11 angled pull-through parking spaces. The lot is lighted with four lights, one on the north side, one on the south side, and two at the top of the boat ramp.  
Pavilionaccessible  Pavilion overlooks the Mississippi River. Pavilion is 24' x 32'. Contains four picnic tables.  
Privy/Restroomaccessible  Area contains two aggregate stone-sided concrete restrooms. Restrooms do not have flush toilets or running water.
