Driving Directions

From Highway 36 in Hannibal, take Highway 79 south 9.40 miles, Route E east 0.60 miles to stop sign, Route E continues right for 1 mile and ends at Lock and Dam #22. Robert H. Thompson Conservation Area is 200 feet downstream from Saverton Lock and Dam #22.


This is a forest and open-field area on the Mississippi River.

About This Area

A concrete boat ramp and parking lot is available on the adjacent Lock and Dam.
