Driving Directions

From St. James, take Highway 8 southeast 6 miles to Maramec Spring Park.

Highlights

Operated by the James Foundation, this is one of four trout parks in the state.

The area is predominantly forest.

Facilities/features: improved camping, primitive camping, hatchery, picnic areas/pavilions, fishing jetties, viewing decks, Maramec Spring, and two permanent streams (Maramec Spring Branch, Meramec (sic) River).

The park also features museums, volleyball and tennis courts, and a restaurant.

Camping - Individual Campsites  48 primitive sites, 10 electric. Campground operated by the James Foundation. 
Canoeing  Float the Meramec River from Highway 8 Access to Scott's Ford nine miles.
