Driving Directions

From the junction of Holmes Road and 139th Street, take 139th Street east 0.75 mile to Jerry Smith Park.


This is a forest area with a small prairie.

  • Parking and access to Saeger Woods Conservation Area are from the east through adjacent Jerry Smith Park (KC,MO Parks & Rec). Saeger Woods also links to public land in the Blue River Parkway (Jackson Co. Parks) to the west. The small prairie at Saeger Woods is managed contiguously with an additional 35 acres on Smith Park.

Highlighted Activities  Observe Woodcock early spring courtship displays and wildflower displays on restored Prairie late summer  
Hiking  No designated MDC trails. A 1.5 mile loop trail exists on adjacent Smith Park.
