Driving Directions

From Platte City, take Highway 371 north 3 miles to the area.


This area contains forest, grassland and cropland. Facilities/features: boat ramp, fishing dock, Tobacco Hills Lake (17 acres), and permanent stream (Bee Creek).

  • Firearms firing single projectiles larger than twenty-two (.22) caliber rimfire are prohibited.  
  • Camping is only for youth groups with special use permits. No general camping on the area.

Bird Watching  Get the Audubon Society of Missouri Conservation Area Bird List.  
Canoeing  Tobacco Hills Lake for the purpose of fishing  
Fishing - Bass Fair population.  
Fishing - Crappie Fair population. A few nice fish are caught in spring in Tobacco Hills Lake 
Fishing - Sunfish Good population. Special Bluegill management - large bluegill common  
Hiking  No designated trails 
Hunting-Deer Fair population. Deer regulations are subject to annual changes. Please refer to the Fall Deer and Turkey Booklet for current regulations.  
Hunting-Dove Fair population. An average of 15 acres of Sunflowers, Wheat and other grains are managed annually. 
Hunting-Quail Fair population.  
Hunting-Rabbit Fair population. See area regulations.  
Hunting-Squirrel Fair population. See area regulations.  
Hunting-Turkey Fair population. Turkey regulations are subject to annual changes. Please refer to the Spring Turkey or Fall Deer and Turkey Booklet for current regulations.
